Video Lessons
Apple computers play our videos in QuickTime with the free Flip4Mac plug-in.
Most of our video samples are in a resolution for easier online viewing. Home subscriptions use this resolution. Regular schools download lessons to their servers to view offline in higher resolution for full-screen viewing. In either case, students do the lessons individually or as a group. There are many good reasons for doing lessons either way, depending on the activity.
Below are samples from Batches 1 and 2. View more Batch 2 samples.
We started making language videos this year specifically for upper elementary. These lessons are included in the second batch of 100+ videos. Most are more rigorous and use more text and more quizzes and written response. We also agreed to make lessons for some junior highs in 09-10 and beyond. We are currently working on the third batch of 100+ videos for 2010-2011, and audio Fluency Builders for some sectors of industry.
This year the feedback on our instruction has equalled the positive feedback obtained when similar content was taught on site.
